So all this news about the torturing in the Iraqi prisons I find disheartening and shameful. I feel it drastically hurts are effort in stabilizing Iraq and makes our army look cruel and inferior. As an American I expect our control of the situation to be much greater and ethical.
I understand that at war times things can get out of control and torture is a way to display power over an enemy. Soldiers more than likely will abuse their power in the area. Like this photo that a friend of mine in the National Guard received from a friend of his in the army.

What I find more shocking is that these allegations of torture happened at more than one prison (Can’t validate at this time). There are claims that this type of treatment is policy set forth by the US government. Source 1 , source 2
Well I have completed a four year term at WPI. Not sure how I feel about this, it currently feels very anti-climactic. I would like to put together a big lunch for family and friends for after our graduation ceremony, resteraunt ideas are invited. I am not sure if people with large families would be into that sorta thing but we will see.
Tonight will be spent hanging at the Boynton and chilling with friends. Tomorrow a mountain bike ride is planned and I will hopefully be joining a new girl I met at Tufts in Boston.
